Somewhere to sleep

Some general points about Mevagissey apply to all types of accommodation.  The closer you are to the harbour the less likely you are to find parking attached to your accommodation, although many have arrangements with secure carparks nearby. The harbour is a working harbour with six pubs and plenty of bustle. Nearly all the properties are historic and can have varying floor heights and narrow staircases. This gives them great charm. Accommodation on the sides of Mevagissey offer great views, modern buildings, a greater level of quiet and parking.  The walk back up to them from the harbour though is steep.
It is rare to find last minute accommodation in the summer holidays with the self-catering properties often only offering seven day bookings.
